Summer Percussion Academy
June 24 – 28, 2024
Registration
The annual West Virginia University Summer Percussion Academy is a comprehensive
musical experience for high school percussion students, ages 14-18. The
academy will be scheduled for summer 2024, and will reflect the extensive percussion
offerings of the WVU percussion department: orchestral percussion, marching percussion,
drum set, world music, electronic music, and other various musical styles. Students
will receive individual lessons, participate in percussion ensemble rehearsals,
and have performance opportunities during the week-long event.
This academy is for beginning level to advanced percussion students. Students
will experience clinics and workshops by WVU percussion faculty and guest
artists.
Cost
Tuition: $300
Overnight Student (housing and meals): $322.16
Commuting Student (lunch and dinner): $130
Payment
Tuition ($300.00) should be sent via check by June 17th. The check should be made out to:
