Voice Day
January 14, 2023
In this inaugural event for emerging vocalists, WVU Voice Day presents the opportunity to experience voice related activities directed by current voice faculty for a day on campus. Interested students between the ages of 14 and 18 are encouraged to register with an invested companion, a parent, guardian or music teacher.Interactions with current students provide information about their journeys to becoming
aspiring musicians and offer performances demonstrating numerous musical styles.
Current faculty meet with adult companions to guide them in the best ways to support
their aspiring musicians as they navigate high school and college level music study.
Activities with faculty include a session for centering the body based in the study
of Tai Chi, interactive theater games, and a masterclass with opportunities to
participate or observe for student participants.
$25 for each student (one additional adult may accompany free of charge)
must be paid on-site on January 14.
Students are encouraged to stay for an audition for either feedback or consideration
for admission into the WVU School of Music. An optional campus tour is also offered
at the end of the day to maximize your WVU visit.
