Welcome to WVU Viola Studio!

The WVU Viola Studio is a unique and supportive studio where students of all backgrounds and levels of study collaborate and learn together. We strive to build a safe but challenging environment where optimal learning can take place and where each student can follow their passions to achieve their professional and personal goals as a musician and as a person. Our students have careers as performers, public school teachers, composers, music therapists, engineers, lawyers, professors, and forensic scientists. Many also continue their study as graduate students at conservatories and universities with graduate assistantships.

• Weekly Studio Class and Play-Through Class

• Studio Performance Projects (last semester we played music in alternative styles - tango, jazz, Appalachian folk, etc)

• Masterclasses with artists from around the world (Paul Neubauer, Milena Pajaro van de Stadt, Hsin-Yun Huang, Victoria Chiang, and others)
