Hannah Bush
Assistant Professor of Music Therapy
Hannah Ivey Bush received a M.M. in Music Therapy from Colorado State University and a B.M. in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia and holds additional certifications in Neurologic Music Therapy and NICU Music Therapy. She has been a board-certified music therapist since 2012 with the majority of her clinical work experience encompassing pediatric healthcare. Hannah comes to us from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta where she worked in in-patient rehab, pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care. Her work in the NICU has been featured on local and national news outlets including NPR. Hannah has served as a music intervener for two (2) multi-site pediatric research studies in oncology. Hannah recently served as Primary Investigator for Music Therapy studies with pediatric patients who are intubated and sedated, and pediatric behavioral health patients in the emergency department. Her pilot in the emergency department led to the expansion of Music Therapy in the ED with behavioral health patients awaiting psychiatric placement.
