Myer Tessalee

Myer Tessalee is a piano, general education, and Orff Schulwerk teacher. Previously, Myer was a piano instructor at the Amstutz Music School in Bangkok, Thailand. There he has led his students to compete in competitions and has assisted them in passing the ABRSM piano examinations. Using the Orff Schulwerk approach, he has taught elementary and primary levels at SISB in Bangkok as a general music instructor. He has taught general music in middle school and highschool as a lecturer.

 

Myer completed his undergraduate studies in Music education at the College of Music, Mahidol University. During his time as a pianist, Myer performed in various concerts and recitals. Such events include studio recitals and the Mahidol friendship concert. As a student, Myer studied classical piano under Dr. Onpavee Nitisingkarin, and has had masterclasses with Prof. Dr. James Miltenberger and Hilomi Sakaguchi. Apart from piano performances, in 2018, he had the opportunity to attend UCSI Piano Conference, to which he gave a lecture titled, “Bach’s Legacy: Illustrated Through Selected Repertoire by Franz Liszt and Peter Schickele.” Apart from his student life, he has played piano in his church and was the head of the sound engineer department.

 

As a graduate student, Myer has a high passion for music and is currently studying piano under Dr. Peter Amstutz in the Music Education program.
